Request for Information: Department of Defense Seeks Information Related to Geothermal Energy

The Department of Defense (DoD) recently issued a request for information (RFI) seeking information related to the feasibility of implementing a firm-fixed-price renewable energy supply agreement for geothermal energy for use at multiple DoD locations.

DoD is interested in information regarding:

  • Potential geothermal or hybridized technologies
  • Recommended contract term
  • Expected cost and pricing
  • Expected development sizing and resource availability
  • Risks to developers and more

The RFI is issued solely for information, planning, and market research purposes.
