Job Opening: Executive Director for the Joint Office of Energy and TransportationThe Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy is looking for a dynamic, innovative, and seasoned executive to lead the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation. The newly formed office will support the deployment of $7.5 billion from the President’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to build out a national electric vehicle (EV) charging network that can build public confidence, with a focus on filling gaps in rural, disadvantaged, and hard-to-reach locations. - Lead the execution of Joint Office activities with public and private-sector partners and national laboratories to achieve national Administration energy, environment, and economic goals by supporting the transition to, and investments in, electrification, including light duty vehicles, medium-heavy duty vehicles, and transit and school buses.
- Establish and communicate Joint Office technical, stakeholder, and investment strategies to address technical and market challenges and identify opportunities for high-impact innovation to bring new technologies and solutions to the U.S. transportation market.
