DOE Issues a Comment Extension Notice Pertaining to Standards for Consumer Water Heaters

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has issued a pre-publication Federal Register pertaining to energy conservation standards for consumer water heaters. On March 1, 2022, DOE published in the Federal Register a notification of availability of preliminary technical support document and request for comment regarding standards for consumer water heaters. DOE received three requests to extend the public comment period by 60 days. DOE has reviewed these requests and is reopening the public comment period to allow comments to be submitted until May 16, 2022.
