Is your community looking to unlock the economic and environmental benefits of clean energy and clean energy manufacturing? If so, there is still time to apply for Communities Local Energy Action Program (LEAP). But you must act soon—the application deadline is this Thursday, December 17!
This opportunity is specifically open to low-income, energy-burdened communities that are also experiencing either direct environmental justice impacts, or direct economic impacts from a shift away from historical reliance on fossil fuels.
The country is entering a period of major investment in new clean energy technologies and their supply chains, and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) designed the Communities LEAP pilot initiative to help ensure underserved communities will benefit from these investments.
Through this opportunity, DOE will provide technical assistance services valued at up to a total of $16 million to support 24–36 competitively selected communities to develop their own community-driven clean energy transition approach.
Don’t wait! You must register to apply for this opportunity, and applications must be submitted by December 17.
